Director of Engineering

Job Summary

Leading a dynamic engineering organization, the full-time salaried Director of Engineering will focus on maturing the Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) product for enterprise organizations, driving innovation and managing high-performing teams in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead multiple teams to consistently deliver results while maintaining high execution and quality standards
• Independently identify and implement strategies that provide significant value to customers and the business
• Guide technical strategy and ensure alignment with Vanta's business priorities through collaboration with Design, Product, and GTM teams

Required qualifications

• 7+ years of engineering leadership experience in high-growth environments with complex products
• Proven ability to lead, coach, and inspire teams through vision setting and accountability
• Strong decision-making skills, balancing ambiguity, data, speed, and quality effectively
• Experience in influencing cross-functional stakeholders and communicating effectively at all levels
• Openness to utilizing AI to enhance skills and improve efficiency in work processes
