Director of Engineering

Job Summary

Supervising a remote engineering team, the full-time Director of Engineering will oversee software development projects, manage hiring decisions, and ensure the quality and performance of software applications in the social media and AI sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise the engineering team and support employee development while assigning work and participating in hiring decisions
• Plan and oversee software development projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement technical requirements
• Review software architecture and monitor the deployment, maintenance, and continuous improvement of software systems

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, computer science, or a related field
• At least two years of progressively responsible experience in software engineering or development
• Experience designing software architecture and developing cloud-based applications, APIs, and distributed systems
• Experience in developing AI or machine learning solutions for content analysis and recommendation systems
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional software engineering teams using Agile or Scrum methodologies
