Director of Engineering

Job Summary

Leading and scaling the engineering organization, the remote Director of Engineering will manage team leads across AI, infrastructure, and platform systems while driving the technical vision and architecture for the product PowerAI.

Key responsibilities

• Define and drive the technical vision and architecture for PowerAI
• Lead the design and scaling of distributed systems, AI/ML pipelines, and computer vision systems
• Establish best practices and build a high-performing engineering culture across all teams

Required qualifications

• 12+ years in software engineering, with experience in SaaS, infrastructure, and AI systems
• 6+ years leading engineering teams in a hands-on capacity
• Background in AI-driven SaaS platforms and experience scaling engineering at high-growth startups
• Proven experience managing multi-team organizations and strong understanding of distributed systems
• AI/ML systems experience, preferably within computer vision projects
