Director of Engineering
Job Summary
Leading the performance and execution of the engineering organization, the full-time remote Director of Engineering will manage a team of engineers and technical leads, ensuring clarity, accountability, and support while driving the adoption of AI-assisted development practices to enhance productivity and software quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day performance and development of the engineering team, providing coaching and support for engineers and technical leads
- Create accountability for engineering delivery, managing cross-team dependencies and addressing delivery challenges proactively
- Act as the primary partner to Product leadership, translating product priorities into realistic engineering commitments and managing risks effectively
Required Qualifications
- Experience leading and developing engineers across multiple product teams
- Proven track record in performance management, hiring, and career development
- Technical depth to understand engineering tradeoffs and build trust with experienced developers
- Demonstrated success in improving organizational effectiveness while maintaining a strong engineering culture
- Ability to effectively communicate and translate between Product and Engineering teams
