Director of Engineering
Job Summary
Leading two engineering teams, the full-time salaried Director of Engineering will set the technical direction for Implementation Platform Configuration and Enrollment Platform Core, ensuring scalable and efficient product implementations while managing a group of Engineering Managers in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Define and drive the technical vision for engineering teams, ensuring alignment with the overall platform strategy
- Oversee delivery commitments to carrier partners and manage cross-team dependencies to prevent project delays
- Lead, mentor, and grow Engineering Managers while driving initiatives related to AI adoption and automated testing strategies
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with 8+ years in software development and 5+ years in engineering management
- Proven experience in designing and operating microservices architectures at scale
- Expertise in Golang and/or Python, with strong knowledge of API design and PostgreSQL
- Demonstrated ability to attract, hire, and mentor engineering talent
- Strong organizational skills to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines across multiple teams
