Director of Engineering

Job Summary

Leading and scaling AI and Engineering teams, the fully remote Director of Engineering will drive technical strategy, application architecture, and delivery across frontend, backend, and AI feature teams to develop enterprise-ready web applications for national security operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and scale software teams across full stack engineering, core application services, data engineering, and AI/ML integrations
• Architect and execute user-facing web platforms, ensuring seamless integration between UI workflows, backend APIs, and real-time AI model inference
• Collaborate with Data Science and Product teams to operationalize and productize advanced AI capabilities within high-performance, enterprise-ready features

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience, including 4+ years in engineering leadership managing full stack and software development teams; Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
• Proven track record of shipping and scaling enterprise-grade full stack web applications that leverage production AI/ML services
• Experience leading the implementation of AI-augmented development environments and CI/CD pipelines
• Strong understanding of AI-driven automated testing strategies
• Demonstrated success recruiting, hiring, and retaining top-tier remote engineering talent
