Director of Engineering

Job Summary

To lead and elevate a talented engineering team, the full-time remote Director of Engineering will develop a technical vision aligned with business goals, drive AI-native product development, and actively participate in architectural decisions while fostering a collaborative culture with product teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a technical vision and roadmap in collaboration with product and leadership teams
• Drive the company's AI strategy and ensure the engineering team is aligned with AI-native product development
• Oversee hiring strategies and talent development to build a high-performing engineering organization

Required qualifications

• Proven experience leading engineering in a small-to-mid-size or growth-stage company
• Strong technical credibility with hands-on experience in coding and product development
• Direct experience or enthusiasm for AI-native product development and familiarity with LLM evaluation practices
• Experience building organizational structure and hiring processes
• A collaborative mindset with the ability to communicate effectively across teams
