Director of Engineering
Job Summary
Leading a team of engineering managers, the full-time remote Director of Engineering will oversee software delivery, ensure engineering quality standards, and manage technical direction while developing the capabilities of engineering leaders.
Key responsibilities
- Own delivery across squads, including capacity planning, forecasting, and visibility into commitments
- Set and maintain standards for engineering quality, including design and code reviews, testing, and documentation
- Lead, coach, and develop engineering managers, focusing on hiring, performance, and career growth
Required qualifications
- 10+ years in software engineering, with at least 4 years in a leadership role
- Proven experience delivering complex B2B software, preferably in SaaS or regulated industries
- Strong background in capacity planning, forecasting, and managing dependencies across multiple teams
- Technical expertise in evaluating architecture, API design, and data modeling decisions
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
