Director of Engineering Operations

Job Summary

Leading the engineering operations and security initiatives, the full-time salaried Senior Director of Engineering Operations & Security will manage test strategies, CI/CD processes, and corporate IT while serving as Vida's Security Officer, ensuring the reliability and security of client data and operations in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities:

• Own test strategy, automation, and cloud infrastructure while enforcing quality gates and deployment practices
• Drive improvements in developer productivity and incident management for customer-visible issues
• Oversee the information security program, including policy ownership and risk assessment, while acting as the executive point of contact for customer security diligence

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree at a minimum
• 10+ years in software engineering, with at least 4 years in leadership roles managing multiple teams
• Direct experience with DevOps, SRE, or engineering operations at scale, including CI/CD and cloud infrastructure
• Proven track record in incident management and on-call for production systems
• Experience operating within regulated environments such as HIPAA, SOC 2, or HITRUST
