Director of Engineering Operations
Job Summary
Seeking a visionary, data-driven Director of Engineering Operations to lead and elevate foundational technology domains in a full-time remote role, responsible for the strategy, execution, and continuous improvement of Security, DevOps, QA, Infrastructure, CI/CD, and Observability functions.
Key responsibilities
- Build and mentor multi-disciplinary engineering teams while managing operational budgets and fostering a culture of technical excellence
- Architect and optimize automated CI/CD pipelines and oversee scalable cloud architecture using Infrastructure-as-Code
- Embed security practices into the development lifecycle and maintain compliance standards in partnership with Legal and Compliance teams
Required qualifications
- 12+ years in software engineering, infrastructure, or platform operations, with at least 5+ years in senior engineering management
- Deep hands-on experience in Cloud Architecture (AWS/GCP), Container Orchestration (Kubernetes), and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
- Proven track record using DORA metrics to improve deployment velocity and system stability
- Strong familiarity with zero-trust network architectures and compliance frameworks (SOC2, ISO 27001, PCI)
- Exceptional cross-functional leadership and executive communication skills
