Director of Environmental Health and Safety

Job Summary

Leading the development and implementation of corporate safety programs, the full-time salaried Director of Environmental Health and Safety will manage compliance initiatives, design effective training solutions, and support EHS staff across the organization in a remote capacity.

Key responsibilities

• Establish organizational goals and develop projects to achieve compliance with government regulations
• Evaluate the effectiveness of safety initiatives and implement action plans to mitigate risks
• Develop training materials to promote employee awareness of safety requirements and foster a culture of safety

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Safety, Engineering, or a related field; postgraduate degree preferred
• 10 years of EHS experience, with at least 5 years in a management role
• Exceptional interpersonal skills for building relationships with stakeholders
• Intermediate knowledge of Google Suite Office
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) preferred
