Director of Environmental Health & Safety

Job Summary

Directing corporate Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) initiatives, the full-time salaried Director of Environmental Health & Safety will oversee EHS programs, improve workplace safety, and minimize environmental risks in a remote capacity.

Key responsibilities

• Direct the Corporate EHS and Worker's Compensation activities across Spartech facilities
• Develop and implement EHS initiatives to ensure compliance with regulations and company standards
• Prepare EHS reports for senior management and establish annual EHS targets and goals

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in industrial hygiene, safety sciences, or equivalent; Master's degree preferred
• Minimum ten years of experience in environmental, health, and safety in a production environment
• Professional certification in an EHS discipline (CSP, CIH, CHMM, etc.) is preferred
• At least two years of supervisory and project leadership experience
• Expert knowledge of EHS regulations and management systems
