Director of Evidence Synthesis

Job Summary

To support the Science Knowledge and Expertise unit, the full-time remote Director of Evidence Synthesis will manage the development of research syntheses in psychological science, oversee the maintenance of knowledge databases, and collaborate with external experts to ensure scientific accuracy and relevance.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as a senior scientific resource, providing guidance and quality assurance in the selection and organization of references that reflect rigorous psychological science
• Write and edit summaries of scientific knowledge, ensuring accuracy and accessibility while integrating findings across various methodologies and theories
• Maintain and manage knowledge databases to facilitate access to up-to-date scientific syntheses and a diverse pool of experts aligned with association priorities

Required qualifications

• Master's Degree in psychology required; Ph.D. preferred
• Broad understanding of psychological science literature, including various theories and methodologies
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet research tools, and research databases like PsycINFO
• Ability to operate independently and exercise judgment in complex tasks
• Experience in providing guidance and training on literature searches and evaluating research quality
