Director of Financial Accounting

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Director of Financial Accounting & Reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead accounting, financial reporting, and analysis functions for assigned lines of business (LOB)
• Ensure compliance with accounting guidance and regulatory requirements, including the preparation and review of financial statements
• Monitor financial risks and implement internal controls, while collaborating with internal and external auditors

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 6 years of management experience with hiring and performance management responsibilities
• In-depth knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and the NAIC's Model Audit Rule (MAR)
• Strong project management skills with experience managing multiple large projects
• Proven ability to influence senior management and stakeholders effectively
