Director of FP&A

Job Summary

Seeking a high-caliber finance leader, the remote Director of FP&A will manage financial strategy at the intersection of Hardware Engineering, Software Product, and Operations, overseeing COGS architecture, R&D capitalization, and logistics economics while driving financial discipline across product development initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Establish a master COGS architecture and lead reforecast streamlining initiatives to enhance financial accuracy and accountability
• Serve as the senior financial authority for product launches, conducting Go/No-Go financial analyses and ensuring alignment with corporate goals
• Develop and maintain financial models that reflect the hardware product development lifecycle and software product development cycles, driving margin improvement initiatives

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Engineering with a financial emphasis
• 7-10 years of progressive FP&A experience in Hardware Engineering, Manufacturing, or Supply Chain environments
• Deep understanding of hardware COGS, inventory accounting, and R&D capitalization
• Expert-level Excel proficiency, including complex modeling and data analysis
• Experience supporting complex hardware and software product development cycles from concept through launch
