Director of Freight and Logistics

Job Summary

Leading the freight and logistics strategy in a fully remote capacity, the Director of Freight and Logistics will manage domestic and international shipment execution, optimize freight processes, and enhance customer-centric service levels while fostering cross-functional collaboration.

Key responsibilities:

• Establish and communicate the strategic direction of HALO's freight and logistics function in partnership with Operations leadership
• Oversee end-to-end execution of freight operations, ensuring alignment with business and client needs
• Manage relationships with carriers and third-party logistics to secure reliable service and competitive freight solutions

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, business, operations, or a related field
• 8+ years of progressive experience in freight, transportation, logistics, supply chain, or distribution operations
• Proven leadership experience managing teams and cross-functional operational processes
• Experience with domestic and international shipping, including customs and duties coordination
• Strong working knowledge of carrier management and freight billing concepts
