Director of General Accounting

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Director, General Accounting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and monitor the activity within the general ledger to support accurate reporting
• Assist in the preparation of accrual basis monthly financial statements
• Review work performed by the accounting staff for preparation of monthly financial statements

Qualifications:

• Minimum 6 years of accounting experience, healthcare experience a plus
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA preferred
• Excellent technical accounting skills with a detailed understanding of current GAAP standards
• Previous exposure to various types of accounting software
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and the ability to quickly manipulate and analyze large data sets
