Director of General Accounting

Job Summary

Directing the day-to-day operations of General Accounting and Disbursements, the full-time salaried Director of General Accounting will oversee General Ledger activity, manage cash disbursements, and collaborate with the Controller to foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, all while telecommuting.

Key responsibilities

• Plans and organizes financial operations, assisting in the development of accounting policies and internal controls
• Provides leadership and training to the Accounting Team while overseeing cash disbursements through Payroll and Accounts Payable
• Coordinates external audits, prepares tax returns, and manages the optimization of ERP and GL systems for efficient processes

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting management roles
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
• Experience with ERP systems and financial software
• Proven track record in leading teams and managing complex financial operations
