Job Summary

A company is looking for a Director of Government Affairs - West.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and lead the government affairs strategy to secure coverage and reimbursement for genetic testing services
  • Serve as a subject matter expert, collaborating with various teams to enhance access and reimbursement initiatives
  • Build relationships with government officials and stakeholders to advocate for policies that improve access and market presence
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in political science, Public Policy, Public Health, or a related field preferred
  • Minimum 7-8 years of experience in US Government Affairs focused on healthcare or life sciences
  • Strong knowledge of Medicaid coverage and funding mechanisms
  • Experience in laboratory, genomics, and/or rare disease is highly preferred
  • Ability to manage external consultants and lobbying partners
