Director of Human Resources

Job Summary

The full-time salaried Director of Human Resources will shape the people strategy and oversee HR operations, compliance, and employee relations in a fully remote and unionized environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead HR strategy and operations, including labor relations, employee lifecycle management, and benefits administration
• Oversee compliance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) and manage employee relations matters
• Guide leadership through organizational changes and ensure alignment of people strategy with organizational goals

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive HR experience, including 4+ years in a senior HR leadership role
• Hands-on experience with CBA administration and labor-management collaboration in a unionized workplace
• Current HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) or willingness to obtain within 6 months of hire
• Proven success in HR leadership for small-to-mid-sized organizations, ideally as a sole HR practitioner
• Strong background in HR compliance, employee relations, and conflict resolution
