Director of Hydropower Development

Job Summary

Leading project development from commercial agreement to construction readiness, the full-time remote Director of Hydropower Development will manage permitting, site control, and stakeholder engagement while overseeing engineering coordination and consultant oversight.

Key responsibilities

• Lead project development activities from executed commercial agreements through notice-to-proceed
• Manage federal, state, and local permitting processes
• Serve as the primary interface with customers, project partners, landowners, and regulatory agencies

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of renewable energy, infrastructure, utility, or power generation development experience
• Demonstrated success advancing projects through permitting and pre-construction phases
• Experience managing external consultants and multidisciplinary project teams
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work independently within a high-growth environment
