Director of Individual Giving

Job Summary

Leading the charge in philanthropic engagement, the full-time salaried Director of Individual Giving will manage a portfolio of major and principal gift donors, building relationships that secure significant contributions while mentoring a high-performing team in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Build and close transformative donor relationships, leading the full lifecycle of engagement to secure major and principal gifts
• Own a high-value portfolio of 50-75 donors capable of $100K-$1M+ contributions, achieving ambitious annual revenue goals
• Shape and expand the pipeline for new business development by partnering with prospect research and senior leaders to engage high-capacity donors

Required qualifications:

• 10+ years of fundraising experience with a proven track record of securing six- and seven-figure gifts from individuals
• Experience managing and growing a portfolio of major and principal donors
• Demonstrated ability to engage with senior executives for high-stakes donor interactions
• Strong capacity to translate complex topics into compelling narratives for sophisticated donors
• Experience leading or mentoring fundraising teams in a fast-paced environment
