Director of Information Security

Job Summary

As the full-time salaried Director of Information Security, the successful candidate will design, build, and protect the organization's digital ecosystem, initially focusing on hands-on security assessments and infrastructure hardening while later transitioning to team leadership and talent acquisition.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect and implement robust security controls across cloud and on-prem environments, assessing current vulnerabilities
• Manage incident response and monitoring tools, acting as the primary responder for security anomalies
• Lead talent acquisition efforts and mentor a growing security team while promoting a company-wide security culture

Required Qualifications:

• 7+ years of progressive experience in cybersecurity, with at least 2+ years in a leadership role
• Deep knowledge of securing public cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Proven experience with firewalls, network security, and implementing frameworks like SOC 2 or NIST CSF
• Ability to write basic scripts (Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automating security workflows is preferred
• Strong communication skills to convey technical risks to non-technical stakeholders
