Director of Instructional Design

Job Summary

Leading the development of innovative online learning solutions, the full-time remote Director of Instructional Design will manage instructional design teams, collaborate with senior leadership on course design strategies, and ensure project success through effective resource allocation and stakeholder engagement.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage and develop direct reports by setting goals, providing feedback, and facilitating growth opportunities for instructional designers
• Review coursework and collaborations, offering actionable feedback to enhance course quality and effectiveness
• Evolve course design methodologies and refine design processes to improve production speed and maintain quality

Required qualifications:

• Master's degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Curriculum Development, or a related field
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in curriculum and instructional design, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
• Proven success in recruiting, mentoring, and managing instructional designers
• Expertise in competency-based learning models and adaptive learning technologies
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders
