Director of Internal Communications

Job Summary

To lead the internal communications that articulate the product and technology narrative, the remote full-time Director of Internal Communications will design and implement strategies that enhance employee engagement and alignment while overseeing a growing communications team.

Key responsibilities

• Own and shape the internal narrative regarding Lumen's product and technology future, translating strategy into a compelling story for employees
• Design and oversee internal communication strategies that connect product and technology evolution with corporate goals, driving employee understanding and advocacy
• Build and mentor a communications team, collaborating with corporate communications and product leaders to ensure unified messaging and strategic alignment

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or related field
• 10-15 years of experience in internal communications or product/technology communications
• Proven experience managing executive communications and partnering with senior leaders
• Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines
• Experience in change management communications
