Director of Interoperability

Job Summary

Leading the healthcare interoperability strategy, the full-time remote Director of Interoperability will manage external relationships, drive policy and standards initiatives, and oversee a team focused on enhancing data exchange in the healthcare ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement Counterpart Health's interoperability strategy across the industry
• Represent the organization with standards bodies, vendors, and policy stakeholders
• Manage compliance with CMS interoperability requirements and translate standards into actionable recommendations

Required qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in US healthcare interoperability and health technology strategy
• Deep fluency in FHIR, HL7, and healthcare data exchange implementation guides
• Experience with CMS interoperability requirements and national initiatives like the Da Vinci and Argonaut Projects
• Established presence in the healthcare interoperability community
• Proven ability to lead a technical team while guiding implementation decisions
