Director of Interoperability

Job Summary

Leading the healthcare interoperability strategy, the full-time remote Director of Interoperability will manage external relationships, drive policy and standards initiatives, and oversee a team of interoperability engineers to enhance data sharing and compliance within the industry.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement the interoperability strategy for Counterpart Health, positioning the organization as a leader in the field
• Represent the company with industry standards bodies, work groups, and policy stakeholders to foster partnerships and compliance
• Translate complex interoperability standards into actionable recommendations for product and business strategies

Required qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in US healthcare interoperability, standards, or health technology strategy
• Deep knowledge of FHIR, HL7, and implementation guides relevant to healthcare data exchange
• Experience with CMS interoperability requirements and national initiatives like the Da Vinci Project and Argonaut Project
• Established presence in the healthcare interoperability community with a network of industry contacts
• Proven ability to lead a technical team while maintaining a focus on detailed implementation decisions
