Director of Inventory Planning

Job Summary

Leading a collaborative team, the full-time remote Director of Inventory Planning will develop and execute inventory strategies, manage pre-season planning and in-season inventory, and optimize sales and margins across all categories and channels.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and develop the Inventory Planning team, ensuring alignment with company objectives and on-time execution of planning deadlines
• Develop seasonal inventory strategies and oversee pre-season and item-level sales plans that align with financial targets
• Implement inventory management practices and tools to optimize performance and collaborate cross-functionally to achieve shared business goals

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, business, engineering, economics, operations management, or equivalent
• 8+ years of experience in inventory planning, including forecasting, purchasing, and allocation
• 3+ years of supervisory experience with a proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate findings into actionable recommendations
• Experience with planning software, preferably Toolio, and advanced Excel skills
