Director of Legal Operations

Job Summary

Leading the transformation of legal operations, the full-time remote Director of Legal Operations will architect and implement AI-powered solutions, manage governance and risk, and upskill the legal team to enhance efficiency and scalability.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own the AI transformation strategy and roadmap for the Legal team, prioritizing opportunities and making informed build vs. buy decisions
• Design and deploy AI-powered workflows with robust governance, ensuring compliance with risk management protocols and data privacy regulations
• Train legal staff on AI-assisted tools and workflows, creating documentation and templates for sustainable team operations

Required qualifications

• 8+ years in a technical, operations, or engineering-adjacent role with experience in automation and AI solutions at scale
• Hands-on experience designing and deploying AI-powered or automated workflows in a production environment
• Strong knowledge of API integration, middleware, and scripting languages such as Python or SQL
• Experience implementing governance and risk frameworks for AI or automation systems
• Solid understanding of data classification, privacy obligations, and legal technology platforms
