Director of Legal Operations

Job Summary

Leading the transformation of legal operations, the full-time remote Director of Legal Operations will architect and implement AI-powered solutions, manage strategy and governance, and enhance team capabilities within HubSpot's Legal team.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own the AI transformation strategy and roadmap for the Legal team, prioritizing opportunities and making informed decisions on build vs. buy
• Design and deploy AI-powered workflows with built-in governance and risk management, ensuring all systems are compliant and secure
• Train legal staff on AI-assisted tools and workflows, creating documentation and templates for sustainable team usage

Required qualifications

• 8+ years in a technical, operations, or engineering role with proven experience in automation and AI solutions
• Hands-on experience designing and deploying AI-powered workflows in a production environment
• Strong experience with API integration, including REST APIs and middleware
• Comfort with scripting or automation using languages such as Python or SQL
• Experience implementing governance and risk frameworks for AI or automation systems
