Director of Legal Operations

Job Summary

Leading the charge in AI-powered legal solutions, the full-time remote Director of Legal Operations will architect and implement strategies to enhance legal workflows, manage governance and risk, and upskill the legal team through innovative automation and AI technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Define and drive the AI transformation strategy and roadmap for the Legal team, prioritizing opportunities and making informed build vs. buy decisions
• Design and deploy AI-powered workflows, ensuring they include necessary error handling, audit trails, and governance measures
• Train legal staff on AI-assisted tools and workflows, creating documentation and resources for ongoing use and maintenance

Required qualifications

• 8+ years in a technical, operations, or engineering-adjacent role with experience in automation and AI solutions
• Hands-on experience designing and deploying AI-powered workflows in a production environment
• Strong experience with API integration and middleware, including REST APIs and JSON
• Proficiency in scripting or automation languages, such as Python or SQL
• Experience implementing governance and risk frameworks for AI or automation systems
