Director of Legal Operations

Job Summary

Leading the transformation of legal operations, the full-time remote Director of Legal Operations will architect and implement AI-powered solutions, manage governance and risk frameworks, and upskill the legal team to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within HubSpot's Legal department.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own the AI transformation strategy and roadmap for the Legal team, prioritizing opportunities and making informed build vs. buy decisions
• Design and deploy AI-powered workflows across legal processes, ensuring error handling and compliance with governance standards
• Train legal staff on AI-assisted tools and workflows, producing documentation and resources for sustainable team operations

Required qualifications

• 8+ years in a technical, operations, or engineering-adjacent role with experience in automation and AI solutions
• Hands-on experience designing and deploying AI-powered workflows in a production environment
• Strong experience with API integration and middleware, including REST APIs and JSON
• Proficiency in scripting or automation languages, such as Python or SQL
• Experience implementing governance and risk frameworks for AI or automation systems
