Director of Legal Operations

Job Summary

Leading the charge in AI-powered legal solutions, the full-time Director of Legal Operations will define and execute the AI transformation strategy, manage governance and risk, and upskill the legal team, all while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Own the strategy and roadmap for Legal's AI transformation, prioritizing opportunities and making informed build vs. buy decisions
• Design and deploy AI-powered workflows with a focus on production readiness, ensuring proper governance and risk management
• Train and upskill the legal team on AI-assisted tools and workflows, tracking and reporting on automation impact

Required qualifications

• 8+ years in a technical, operations, or engineering-adjacent role with experience in automation and AI solutions
• Hands-on experience designing and deploying AI-powered workflows in a production environment
• Strong expertise in API integration and middleware, including REST APIs and JSON
• Experience with scripting or automation languages such as Python or SQL
• Demonstrated ability to implement governance and risk frameworks for AI or automation systems
