Director of Legal Operations

Job Summary

Leading the transformation of legal operations, the full-time remote Director of Legal Operations will architect and implement AI-powered solutions, manage legal workflows, and ensure governance and risk management while upskilling the legal team.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own the AI transformation strategy and roadmap for the legal team, prioritizing opportunities and making informed build vs. buy decisions
• Design and deploy AI-powered workflows with necessary governance and risk assessments, ensuring compliance and data integrity
• Train legal staff on AI-assisted tools and workflows, producing documentation and templates for sustainable operations

Required qualifications

• 8+ years in a technical, operations, or engineering-adjacent role with experience in automation and AI solutions
• Hands-on experience designing and deploying AI-powered workflows in a production environment
• Strong knowledge of API integration, middleware, and scripting or automation languages such as Python or SQL
• Experience implementing governance and risk frameworks for AI or automation systems
• Solid understanding of data classification, privacy obligations, and legal technology platforms
