Job Summary

Leading the charge in AI-driven transformation, the full-time remote Director of Legal Operations will architect and implement AI-powered solutions within the Legal team, focusing on strategy, workflow automation, and governance to enhance operational efficiency and scalability.

Key responsibilities

• Define and manage the AI transformation strategy and roadmap for the Legal team, prioritizing opportunities and making informed build vs. buy decisions
• Design and deploy AI-powered workflows, ensuring robust error handling, audit trails, and compliance with governance and risk protocols
• Train legal staff on AI-assisted tools and workflows, fostering a culture of AI fluency and continuous improvement within the team

Required qualifications

• 8+ years in a technical, operations, or engineering-adjacent role with experience in automation and AI solutions at scale
• Hands-on experience designing and deploying AI-powered or automated workflows in a production environment
• Strong knowledge of API integration, middleware, and scripting or automation languages such as Python or SQL
• Experience implementing governance and risk frameworks for AI or automation systems
• Demonstrated ability to translate operational requirements into reliable, production-grade technical systems
