Director of Legal Operations

Job Summary

As the primary architect of AI-powered solutions, the full-time remote Director of Legal Operations will manage the strategy and implementation of legal workflows, ensuring efficient integration of AI capabilities while overseeing governance and risk management within HubSpot's Legal team.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own the AI transformation strategy and roadmap for Legal, prioritizing opportunities and making informed build vs. buy decisions
• Design and deploy AI-powered workflows with built-in error handling and governance, partnering with IT for integration
• Train legal staff on AI-assisted tools and maintain documentation to ensure scalability and ongoing usability of systems

Required qualifications

• 8+ years in a technical, operations, or engineering-adjacent role with experience in automation and AI solutions
• Hands-on experience designing and deploying AI-powered workflows in a production environment
• Strong knowledge of API integration and middleware, including REST APIs and JSON
• Experience with scripting or automation using languages like Python or SQL
• Demonstrated ability to implement governance and risk frameworks for AI or automation systems
