Director of Legal Operations

Job Summary

To design and build the operational infrastructure for the Legal department, the full-time Director of Legal Operations will manage legal intake, contract operations, and corporate governance while working remotely and reporting directly to the General Counsel.

Key Responsibilities

• Own intake for all incoming legal requests, triage and route them appropriately, and track status to ensure nothing falls through the cracks
• Lead the implementation of the first contract lifecycle management (CLM) system, including workflow design and template creation
• Support corporate governance motions and maintain corporate records for Nex's growing family of international entities

Required Qualifications

• 5-7+ years of experience in legal operations, corporate/contracts paralegal work, or a similar operational role
• Hands-on experience administering a CLM or similar workflow system, with strong familiarity with tools like Ironclad or SpotDraft
• Experience supporting corporate governance at a private company, ideally with multi-entity or international structures
• Strong project management and organizational skills to handle high-volume requests alongside long-term projects
• Curiosity about applying AI tools to legal operations work and a preference for pragmatic solutions
