Director of Loss Mitigation

Job Summary

Leading a multidisciplinary team, the full-time salaried Director of Loss Mitigation will execute strategies to protect and enhance the value of residential solar assets, overseeing system repairs, disaster response, and project completions while managing vendor relationships and cross-functional collaboration.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team focused on remediation, repair, and disaster response for solar assets
• Oversee the diagnosis and resolution of underperforming solar systems, ensuring compliance with contractual and regulatory standards
• Coordinate disaster response efforts and manage the transition of solar installations from defaulting installers to completion

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
• 8-12 years of experience in solar operations, asset management, construction, or loss mitigation
• 5+ years of experience in people management, including leading large operational teams
• Deep understanding of residential solar systems and O&M best practices
• Strong financial acumen with experience in budget management and cost-benefit analysis
