Director of Major Gifts

Job Summary

Managing a portfolio of prospective donors, the full-time Director of Major Gifts will cultivate, solicit, and coordinate fundraising efforts to meet financial goals while working remotely with occasional on-campus presence in Brookline, MA.

Key responsibilities

• Lead strategic discussions with prospective donors to align their philanthropic goals with organizational needs
• Personally cultivate and solicit donations while managing a portfolio of donors to achieve fundraising targets
• Assist in implementing a comprehensive prospect management plan and report on progress towards goals

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required
• 6+ years of relevant work experience in fundraising or related fields
• Strong knowledge of development databases and proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Ability to close complex gifts and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
• Exceptional judgment and discretion in handling sensitive information and interactions
