Director of Major Gifts

Job Summary

Building and managing a growing portfolio of major and leadership gift donors, the full-time salaried Director of Major Gifts will focus on relationship development, proactive outreach, and securing significant gifts in a remote capacity.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute individualized cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies for major gift donors
• Conduct proactive outreach to alumni and high-net-worth individuals to foster new relationships and advance existing ones
• Maintain accurate donor records and collaborate with team members to optimize donor engagement and fundraising efforts

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
• Seven to ten years of progressively responsible fundraising experience, particularly with individual giving
• Proven track record of cultivating and closing significant gifts, including five- and six-figure commitments
• Experience using fundraising CRM systems, with a strong preference for Salesforce
• A genuine interest in international education and cultural exchange, aligning with the organization's mission
