Job Summary
To support Ford's electrification strategy, the full-time salaried Director of Manufacturing will lead the establishment and execution of manufacturing operations for battery pack facilities, focusing on safety, quality, delivery, and cost while building a high-performing organizational culture remotely.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and sustain a "Safety First" culture, ensuring the wellbeing of team members and reducing incident rates
- Own the strategy and execution for new battery pack manufacturing lines, driving efficiency and throughput
- Develop and manage the financial strategy and operating budgets for battery pack manufacturing, focusing on cost optimization
Required Qualifications
- 15+ years of proven experience in manufacturing, particularly in launching new or greenfield operations
- Demonstrated success as a Plant Manager or senior manufacturing leader in high-volume, high-tech environments
- Expert-level knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and experience in establishing new manufacturing operations
- Ability to lead through industrial disruptions and manage multiple facilities at different launch maturity stages
- Experience in building trusted relationships with a diverse workforce, including navigating union and non-union environments
