Director of Material Management

Job Summary

Leading a globally distributed supply planning organization, the full-time salaried Director of Material Management will oversee material availability, production planning, and supplier execution to ensure on-time delivery and support business growth, while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a flexible work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a global supply planning organization, managing a team aligned with outsourced manufacturing partners across multiple regions
• Govern the Master Production Schedule (MPS) and deliver rolling material and production plans aligned with COO scheduling needs
• Serve as the primary escalation point for material shortages and delivery challenges, partnering with fulfillment and distribution teams

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or Business Administration
• Extensive experience in leading material management or supply planning organizations in mid to large enterprises
• Deep expertise in materials planning, sourcing, and outsourced manufacturing operations
• Strong knowledge of material requirements planning and enterprise resource planning systems
• Proven project management experience supporting cross-functional initiatives
