Job Summary

Providing strategic and operational leadership, the full-time Director of Medical Affairs will chair IRB board meetings, guide Medical Chairs, and engage with clients on complex ethical and regulatory issues in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities
  • Influence and advise on the strategic medical vision for IRB operations and serve as a strategic advisor on medical ethics and regulatory risk
  • Chair board meetings to ensure compliance with regulations and facilitate high-quality deliberation among board members
  • Lead and develop a senior team of Medical Chairs, providing real-time guidance on escalated ethical and operational issues
Required qualifications
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD), Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO), Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM), or an equivalent clinical doctoral degree
  • Certified IRB Professional (CIP) or ability to obtain within a designated timeframe
  • Minimum 5 years of senior-level leadership experience, including managing groups of physicians or regulatory professionals
  • Significant experience chairing IRB meetings with authority and regulatory rigor
  • Deep expertise in IRB and HRPP, including FDA/OHRP regulations
