Director of Medical Operations

Job Summary

To support a growing personal injury practice, the full-time remote Director of Medical Operations will manage the medical records function, ensuring compliance and data integrity while overseeing cross-team record collection and case execution metrics.

Key responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end performance of the Medical Records function, including backlog management and staffing capacity planning
• Oversee medical record collection across teams, ensuring efficient workflows and compliance with HIPAA regulations
• Monitor case execution metrics and drive operational interventions to maintain treatment adherence and data completeness

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management, Healthcare Administration, or a related field; equivalent professional experience considered
• 5+ years of experience in medical records or healthcare administration, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
• Working knowledge of HIPAA and state-specific medical records regulations
• Experience in building or scaling centralized back-office operations, including capacity planning and SLA design
• Proficient in case-management and records-retrieval systems, with experience in operational data reporting
