Director of Medical Review

Job Summary

To support Global Pharmacovigilance, the contract Director of Medical Review will oversee the medical assessment of individual case safety reports for investigational and marketed products, ensuring compliance with regulations while working virtually.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee high-quality medical assessments of individual case safety reports to ensure compliance with domestic and international regulations
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate product safety profiles and establish harmonization in medical review standards
• Mentor and train junior colleagues while maintaining effective communication with internal and external stakeholders regarding safety assessment issues

Required qualifications

• Medical degree or internationally recognized equivalent
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry, including 5 years in Pharmacovigilance
• 5 years of clinical experience with significant knowledge of general medicine
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments and manage multiple priorities
• Proven interpersonal skills and experience working in international and cross-functional teams
