Director of Merchant Services

Job Summary

Leading the enterprise merchant services program, the full-time remote Director of Merchant Services will manage payment acceptance strategies, oversee daily operations, and ensure compliance across a large healthcare system.

Key responsibilities

• Own the enterprise merchant services program, including governance, policies, and operating models
• Oversee day-to-day operations of payment acceptance, ensuring seamless integration and uptime across various systems
• Analyze and optimize costs associated with payment acceptance, developing KPIs and dashboards for performance tracking

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 7+ years of progressive experience in merchant services, payment acceptance, or treasury operations
• 3+ years of leadership experience in managing teams or programs
• Deep knowledge of card acceptance ecosystems, including acquirer/processor models and chargebacks
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate contracts and quantify operational impact
