Director of Motion Design

Job Summary

Leading the execution and scaling of motion content, the remote, contract Director of Motion Design will manage a motion production team to implement a defined creative strategy across retail locations and digital surfaces.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the motion production pipeline, ensuring timely and on-brand delivery of assets
• Maintain visual and behavioral consistency across various deliverables while adapting motion systems for localized placements
• Critique motion work and provide actionable direction to internal and external partners, ensuring adherence to brand standards

Required qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in leading motion production and managing animation output at scale
• Strong command of After Effects, Figma, and Adobe Creative Suite
• Acute knowledge of motion principles, including tempo, sequencing, and rhythm in retail contexts
• Experience with digital out-of-home displays, in-store signage, and social media templates
• Proficiency in motion template development and managing large motion asset libraries
