Director of Operational Accounting

Job Summary

Leading the strategy and execution of end-to-end transactional accounting functions, the remote full-time Director of Operational Accounting will manage Accounts Payable, Payroll Operations, and Order to Cash Operations while driving automation and establishing internal controls.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the global disbursements process and optimize P2P platforms for efficiency and compliance
• Ensure accurate and timely execution of multi-state payroll and align with HR operations for seamless integration
• Lead the AR and Billing team, managing complex transactions and ensuring operational accuracy across multiple channels

Required Qualifications

• 10-12+ years of progressive accounting and finance operations experience, with at least 5+ years in a senior leadership role
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business; CPA, CMA, or MBA strongly preferred
• Experience in fast-growing D2C e-commerce, consumer hardware, retail distribution, or SaaS/subscription-based environments
• Advanced proficiency with modern ERPs and payroll systems
• Deep knowledge of US GAAP, SOX compliance, and multi-state payroll regulations
