Director of Patient Financial Services

Job Summary

Seeking an operationally focused Director of Patient Financial Services, the fully remote position will manage and optimize day-to-day business office functions for hospital system clients, mentor teams, and drive performance improvements across the revenue cycle continuum.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the operational leader over PFS functions for assigned clients, ensuring performance standards are met or exceeded
• Directly manage and mentor team leads and staff across multiple functional areas, including billing and customer service
• Use data-driven insights to identify inefficiencies and implement proactive solutions to enhance operational effectiveness

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of progressive experience in a multi-hospital health system environment, with at least 3 years in a leadership role over PFS operations
• Demonstrated success in leading and mentoring billing and follow-up teams in high-volume settings
• Deep understanding of payer guidelines, claims processing, and revenue cycle KPIs
• Familiarity with Epic is preferred
• Exceptional problem-solving skills with a history of executing process improvements
