Director of Payment Innovation
Job Summary
Driving payment innovation and external affairs, the full-time Sr. Director of Payment Innovation will build a roadmap for future payment services, manage vendor contracts, and ensure audit readiness while collaborating with cross-functional teams, with a preference for candidates in Indianapolis or San Francisco but open to remote work with travel.
Key Responsibilities
- Build the roadmap for future payment services and drive innovation initiatives to improve authorization rates and lower processing costs
- Monitor external and internal changes affecting payment operations and ensure audit readiness
- Own B2B vendor strategy, including negotiation and performance management of contracts with payment service providers
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years in direct-to-consumer payments operations or customer solutions transformation
- Experience with vendor and contract negotiation and management
- Strong working knowledge of payment flows, including card processing and settlements
- Familiarity with enterprise payment service providers and payment orchestration platforms
